Martha Kristan

	Martha Kristan, 83, of State High 184 North,  Royalton, Illinois died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at  the P. A. Peterson Home in  Rockford.
	Martha was born March 5,  1921 in Buckner, Illinois to  Michael and Anna (Posypanco)  Sysock.
	She married James John Kristan November 22, 1941 in Chicago.  He preceded her in death September 14, 2002.
	She is survived by a daughter, Carol Boyle of Hickory Hills; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James M. Kristan of Port Byron and Jerry and Dianna Kristan of Rockton; four grandchildren, Kevin Boyle and his wife, Nichole ofOconomowoc, Wisconsin, Amy Boyle of Palos Hills and Nicholas and Kari Kristan of Rockton; a brother and sister-in-law, Eli and Anastasia Sysock of Rensselaer, Indiana and two step-brothers, Wesley Setnor of Walkerton, Indiana and Joe Setnor of Mascoutah and a step-sister, Ann Setnor of Antioch.
	Her parents, two brothers, Michael and Nicholas Sysock; two step- brothers, Michael and John Setnor and a son-in-law, Joseph Boyle also preceded her in death.
	Martha was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Royalton and a homemaker.  She was a Recognized Illinois Artisan for her European Easter Eggs and a member of the American Art Guild in Washington, DC.
	A funeral mass for Mrs. Kristan was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Royalton with Father Larry Lemay officiating.  Burial was at the St. Aloysius Cemetery, east of Royalton.  Visiting hours were from 5 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 14th at Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton where prayer services were held at 6:30 p.m.
	Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Kristan may be made to the St. Aloysius Catholic Church or the donors choice of charities.
